- A clipper — your main tool — see our clipper guide for choosing one.
- A trimmer — for outlines, necklines and detail work.
- Cutting and thinning scissors — scissor-over-comb is half the trade.
- A cutting comb and sectioning clips — control is everything.
- A cape and a fade brush — your client's comfort is part of the cut.
- A mannequin head stand — for practice between classes.
